OOH Qualified Vet

We are seeking an experienced and caring Weekend OOH Vet to join a out-of-hours team. In this role, you will provide emergency veterinary care for a variety of cases over the weekend. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing a broad range of emergency cases, have excellent clinical skills, and possess strong communication skills to liaise with pet owners and colleagues effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency and critical care to animals during weekend day shifts.
• Assess and manage a range of medical and surgical cases, making clinical decisions and providing immediate treatment as necessary.
• Work collaboratively with the OOH team, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners, explaining treatment options and ensuring they are well-informed.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of consultations and treatments, ensuring compliance with practice protocols.

About You:

• You will be a qualified veterinary surgeon with previous experience in emergency and critical care, ideally within an out-of-hours setting.
• Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to manage a variety of emergency cases independently
