Speech and Language Therapist – Wrexham

Are you a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist ready to make a real difference? Join our vibrant team in Wrexham and help individuals overcome speech, language, and communication challenges to achieve their full potential on  2 month contract. As a Speech and Language Therapist in an acute hospital impatient ward (with adults) you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions to individuals with a range of communication and swallowing disorders. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients across different age groups and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication and swallowing difficulties
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
• Provide evidence-based therapy for individuals with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Offer support and training to families, carers, and staff to enhance communication and care strategies
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care

Key Requirements:

• A degree or postgraduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
• Band 6 level
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Must be fully dysphagia trained
• Experience working with individuals with speech, language, and communication needs, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting
